Anne Mott, Class of 1957

Audio transcript:

"My name is Anne Mott. I was a literature major in the class of 1957. I spent, I think, most of my life in this library. Often asleep on the tables. I eventually wound up being a librarian, in part, because I loved to go to the Andrew Dickson White Library. It just bowled me over. When I was a Senior I was an honors student, so I got a pass to the stacks – which was wonderful!

I spent, as I say, many hours here, mostly reading reserve book which was not fun. And then, when I got the stack pass, wandering up and down and looking out the windows – it was just marvelous!

And, as I say, it made me want to be a librarian."
